Open Day In PLAY N LEARN!!!

School Holidays are Here Again.. Time Flies!!! But before we introduce our interesting School Holiday Program, Play N Learn have another interesting and exciting news lined up for you all before the School Holiday Starts. Play N Learn is having another Open Day and is offering FREE 1ST TRIAL CLASS on these dates below. 

Gymnastics ( 3 yrs and above): 3rd March- Wednesday (5pm to 6pm) and 7th March- Sunday (10am to 11am)

Global Art ( 4 yrs and above): 6th March- Saturday ( 2.30pm to 4.30pm) and 7th March 2010- Sunday  ( 10.30am to 12.30pm)
                                                   
London English Academy ( 7 years and above): 27th February- Saturday ( 10 am- 12pm for Free Assessment and 1pm to 3 pm for Free Trial Class ) and 5th March - Friday (6pm to 8pm)


Oriental Mandarin Academy ( 7 years and above): 27th February- Saturday ( 10 am- 12pm for Free Assessment and 1pm to 3 pm for Free Trial Class ) and 5th March - Friday (6pm to 8pm)

Musikgarten ( Newborn and above): 28th February- Sunday and 7th March- Sunday

Time: (Newborn to 16 months): 1.15pm to 1.45pm

          ( 16 months to 4 yrs old): 12.30pm to 1 pm

          ( 4 yrs to 6 yrs old): 2pm to 2.45 pm

PlayGroup (Chinese) ( 2 years to 4 years): 3rd March- Wednesday and 5th March- Friday 
Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm
PlayGroup (English) ( 2 years to 4 years): 1st March- Monday and 3rd March- Wednesday
Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm

Chinese Character (4 yrs to 8 yrs old): 3rd March- Wednesday and 5th March- Friday
Time: 4.30pm to 6 pm

Chinese Character ( 9 yrs to 12 yrs old ): 3rd March- Wednesday and 5th March- Friday
Time: ( 2.00pm to 3.30 pm)

Scholastic Early English ( 4 yrs to 5 yrs old ): 6th March-Saturday
Time: ( 10.30am to 12.30 pm)


And on top of it, there will be a booth set up for counseling where parents and students can get more detail information on these classes which are Global Art, London English Academy, Oriental Mandarin Academy and Scholastic Early English.

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

DEAR PARENTS, STUDENTS, READERS AND FRIENDS,

We would like to inform you all that Play N Learn will CLOSE EARLY on the 13th of Feb 2010 (SATURDAY) at 4pm, However all CLASSES will RESUME NORMAL ON 13th of Feb 2010. We will also be CLOSED on the 14th Feb 2010 (SUNDAY) and 15th Feb 2010 due to Chinese New Year. Business and all classes will resume as usual on the 16th of Feb 2010 (Tuesday). Thanks and sorry for the Inconvenience Cause.

Chinese New Year

A time for family reunions, the lion dance, firecrackers, mahjong, mandarin oranges and giving/collecting ang pow, the Lunar New Year - or Chinese New Year (CNY), as it is more commonly known in Malaysia - highlights some of the most fascinating aspects of Chinese tradition and rituals. Reunion dinner on the eve of CNY. Its origin can be traced back thousands of years, to the legend which tells of a fearsome mythological creature known as Nian that is said to have once terrorised China, devouring people on the eve of CNY. To ward off the beast, red-paper couplets were pasted on doors, firecrackers were set off throughout the night, and huge fires were lit.

Today, the prevalence of the colour red, and firecrackers, form part of the CNY celebrations throughout the world, as a part of custom and tradition.

The festival, which once also marked the beginning of spring in China, begins on the first day of the lunar calendar year, the first day of the new moon, and ends on the 15th day, known as Chap Goh Meh, the last day of the full moon.

We at Play N Learn would like to introduce one of the many new courses that we offer for your kids. Today we will introduce the Scholastic Early English in order for you to understand more about this new program.

Scholastic Early English Development (SEED) program is founded on the findings of international educational theory and research. It is delivered using best practices in early childhood education. The SEED program is a comprehensive language curriculum that uses a systematic approach to learning English though a combination of Phonics and Whole Language Learning. Wow!!! School Holiday is almost over. Thank you all for participating in our Year-End School Holiday Program.. Parents and Children are now busy preparing to go back to school.
